Marathon Runners Presentation ;
A group of Kingscourt Marathon Runners who took part in the recent Dublin City Marathon presented a cheque for € 3871 to members of the Kingscourt Cancer Fund.

Christmas Light’s Switch On ;
On Friday evening of last week, the towns Christmas Illuminations were switch on at 7.30.pm, by the busiest personality at this time of year Santa Claus who arrived courtesy of Kingscourt Fire Brigade, he was warmly received by the large attendance of children and parents present. On his brief stop-over he distributed sweets to all the children, before departing. The towns Christmas lights are sponsored by Kingscourt Chamber of Commerce, who are to be complimented for their efforts, they have also erected a large Christmas Tree at the centre of the town complete with lights. Members of Kingscourt Band assembled earlier and gave a recital of Christmas Carols which added to the occasion .During the past few weeks there has been a noticeable increase in shoppers to the town with most parking places occupied , traders have stocked up with and have an abundance and variety of suitable presents for the festive season.
Regretted Death ;
The death occurred on Thursday 28 th. November of Tony Hagan , Tullyweel, Kilmainhamwood, peacefully in St. Joseph’s Hospital Trim, Requiem funeral Mass on Saturday 30 th. November in the Church of the Sacred , Kilmainhamwood, with burial in St. Mary’s cemetery, Kingscourt. He was the last of his family and is survived by his relatives and friends to whom sympathy is extended.
Robbery ;
In recent weeks thieves stole 2 lawn mowers, 2 trimmers, chain saw and other garden equipment from a residence in the area, at all times it is important that all equipment is locked in secure premises.
Car Vandalised ;
On a recent visit to the beautiful Dun- An -Ri Forest Park one visitor discovered on returning to his car, that it had been severely damaged by vandals, the incident has been reported to the Gardai .
Christmas by Candlelight ;
On Sunday next 15 th. December at 7.00.pm a Christmas Concert by Candlelight will be held in the Church of the Immaculate Conception Kingscourt , A treat for all the family it is in aid of the Church restoration fund .
Giving Sunday for St. Vincent de Paul ;
On Sunday next, 15 th. Dec, all parishioners are encouraged to bring one small item of non-perishable food for the annual St. Vincent de Paul Christmas Food Appeal at all parish Masses .
Polish Community Thanks ;
