Credit  Union, Prize Winners ;

Kingscourt Credit Union, list of winners  who received cheques  of €100  & €50  at their recent  AGM ,  Patricia Martin ,Brendan O’Reilly ,Merlise Byrne , Daniel Sherlock , Betty Ormonde ,  Francie Owens , Fiona Smith , Joe McCabe , Ann Burns , and Jimmy Kieran.

Baptisms ;

The Parish  Community, welcomes recently baptised , Kimberely louise Daly and  Katie Nicole Burns .  The next baptism preparation meeting is on  Thursday 6 th. February 2014 at 8.00.pm in the Parish Centre.

Marriages ;

Congratulations to  Mr. Declan Diamond & Ms. Amy Saunders, Mr.  Damien Barry & Ms. Joanne Carolan ,Mr. Paul Brennan & Ms. Tina Curtis, Mr. Brendan  Morgan & Ms. Caitriona Flanagan  on their recent marriages.  All couples planning to marry during 2014 in the Diocese of Meath ,must complete  an  ACCORD  pre-marriage workshop.  Book at  www.accord.ie

Parish Statistics  2013

Crumlin  Children’s Hospital ,

The recent Ladies Football in aid of Crumlin  Children’s Hospital raised € 2977.76, congratulations to all involved.

Active Retirement, Meeting ;

Kingscourt Active Retirement meeting on  Friday 10 th. January at  8.00.pm.

School Enrolment ;

Scouts,  AGM ;

The   AGM of Kingscourt Scouts, will be held on  Friday 10.th  January at  8.30.pm in Kingscourt Community Centre. They are most thankful to all who supported their  recent Church Gate collection which raised € 820.

Alcoholics Anonymous, Meeting ;

Kingscourt Alcoholics  Anonymous, meeting every Thursday at 8.30.pm  in St. Mary’s  Hall.

Regretted Death ;

There was genuine regret in the area at the death on Thursday 26 th. December, peacefully at the Mater Hospital Dublin of Mr. Oliver Nesbitt, Mt. St. Joseph, Kingscourt and formerly of Ballybay, Co. Monaghan.  Reposing at his home , his funeral  on Monday 30 th. December following Requiem Mass in the Church of the Immaculate Conception, with burial in the adjoining cemetery.  Predeceased by his wife , Margaret he was in his 78 th. year, he is survived by his sons ; Val, Barry , Fergal , Garry , Mel , & Ryan.  Daughters ; Jackie , Carol , Samanta , Sonya ,&Leanne, partner, Kathleen, sisters ; Rose & Bridie , brothers ; Andy & Michael, grandchildren, relatives and friends to whom sympathy is extended.   Like many others he assisted at the building of Kingscourt Community  Centre, in it’s early stages , he was also a founding  member and trainer of Kingscourt Boxing club he was also a member  of Kingscourt Vintage club, taking part in displays and parades .

Bereaved ;

Sympathy is extended to  Jimmy and Charlie Muldoon and their sisters; Dolly and Angela on the death of their brother, Mr.  Philip Muldoon , of Cooksboro, Cloghan, Mullingar( and formerly of Corryholman, Kingscourt) which occurred on Monday 23 rd.  December 2013.  Funeral on Saturday  28 th. December following Requiem  Mass in the Cathedral of Christ the King, Mullingar, with burial in Ballyglass cemetery.
