Scholarship Winner, Dundalk Scholarship

Congratulations to . Hugo Mulligan , ( a sixth class pupil  from Cabra Central N.S.) who has won both Incorporated Society Scholarships and Overall Scholarship to Dundalk Grammar School. This is a fantastic  achievement and all in Cabra Central N.S. are so proud of him .

Moon Walk ;

The  annual  Moon Walk on the Loughnaleagh will be held at 9.00.pm on  July 4 th. in aid of local cancer charities, admission  €10

Congratulations to Ms. Fiona Farrelly and Mr. Paul Marron, Ms. Laura Curtis &  Mr. Colm Marron on their recent marriages.

Baptisms ;

The Parish welcomes  recently baptised, Danny Malcolm Lay,  Emily Angela Bridget  O’Reilly, and Margot  Elizabeth Gillespie.

Regretted Death ;

The death has occurred of Kevin McKeown,  Magoney,  Enniskeen, Monaghan, peacefully at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital ,Drogheda on Thursday 25 th. June . Reposing at his residence with removal on Sunday  28 th. June to the Church of Mary Mother of Mercy, Inniskeen for Requiem funeral Mass with burial afterwards in St. Mary’s cemetery. Kevin beloved husband of, Brigid, much loved  father of  Ann, Patricia , and Marie. Predeceased by his son Kevin and sister Mary Agnes. Sadly missed by  sister  Rita, brother-in-law Jim, sons-in-law, Gene, Jim, Felix, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, relatives and many friends. A  retired employee of Gypsum Industries where he worked in the Engineering Department for many years.

Special Credit Union Meeting ;

A special   meeting of Kingscourt  Credit Union is being held on Monday 6 th. July in the Matt Talbot Hall, at 8.00.pm, inviting all members to attend.

Following on from a strategic review of Kingscourt Credit Union’s future, Kingscourt Credit Union Limited has been in discussion  with a number of Credit Unions regarding the prospect of an amalgamation . These talks have progressed positively and constructively , and the respective Boards now wish to present to its members the proposal for a merger of  Bailieborough Credit Union Limited & St. Mary’s  Moynalty  Credit Union Limited  to Kingscourt Credit Union Limited.  They have been assisted  in this process  by the Credit Union  Restructuring Board  (ReBo) and have informed the Central Bank of their proposal in line with requirements  of the Credit Union legislation .
