Baptisms ;
The Parish Community welcomes recently baptised, Sonny William O’Regan and Joshua Oscar Patrick Kearns.. All baptisms take place on the 2 nd. & 4 th Saturdays of each month at 4.00.pm in the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Kingscourt.
Diamond Jubilee of Ordination ;
Rev. Fr. Phonsie Mackin, who is a native of Kingscourt parish, will mark his Diamond Jubilee of Ordination (60 years of service as a Priest in the Diocese of Meath this year.) Fr. Phonsie has accepted an invitation to mark this occasion in his native parish with a special Mass in his honour on Saturday 14 th. June 2014 at 6.00.pm in the Church of the Immaculate Conception , Kingscourt. All parishioners and friends are cordially invited to join in marking this great occasion with him. Refreshments will be served afterwards in the Parish Centre.
Visit to Nairobi, Kenya ;
Mary McMahon from Muff is travelling to Thigio outside of Nairobi in Kenya for two months , from June 16 th.. She will speak at all Masses in Muff and Kingscourt next weekend , and hold a Cake sale after Mass in Muff and in the Parish Centre in Kingscourt, on Sunday next, all support would be appreciated . Mary will be working with the Daughters of Charity during her stay, all funds will go directly to the Daughters of Charity various projects in Nairobi.
New College Update ;
The design team to oversee the design, planning and tender process of the new Dun-Na-Ri College will be appointed in the next three weeks. The College will be completed and ready for first enrolment at the end of August 2016. The College will be a state of the art educational facility also incorporating 2 Tennis Courts, 2 Basket Ball Courts, Playing Field, Sports Hall and an Education Unit for children with special needs. The 16 acre site is large enough to facilitate the provision of a new Primary School with shared facilities, similar to recently completed projects in counties Kildare and Monaghan.
