The Green School award ceremony took place on Wednesday 20 th. May in the Helix in Dublin City University. There were 52 schools from around Leinster present to receive their flags. St. Joseph’s National School , Kingscourt received their 4 th. flag for green transport. This project involved the pupils walking to school every Wednesday . The class with the most pupils walking to and from school received the “Golden Boot” . The school also began a “Drop and Go” system every day where parents allowed children to walk into school unaccompanied at the entrance to St. Joseph’s school.
