The Social Services, Raffle which was held recently at the Fair of Muff, results ; 1 st. Prize €300 ,: winner, Paul Gartlan, Magheracloone. 2 nd Prize € 100 , winner , Siobhan Bennet- Madden, 3 rd. Prize €50 winner; Willow Sheridan, Maher, Ballyjamesduff, sincere thanks to all who bought and sold raffle tickets.
Children’s Choir, Enrolments ;
Church of the Immaculate Conception, Children’s Choir enrolments for new members, will be held on Saturday 30 th. August at 7.00.pm in the Parish Centre, meeting with Children and Parents.
Bereaved ;
Sympathy is extended to Rita Fleming on the death of her brother, Jim Smith, Raferagh, funeral on Monday of last week in Raferagh.
Regretted Death ;
The death occurred on Friday of last week in Cavan General Hospital, peacefully of Annie Gargan ( nee Armstrong ) St. Mary’s Road, Kingscourt. Sadly missed by her loving husband; Paddy, son; Oliver, daughter ; Trasa, son-in-law Peter, daughter -in-law Tracey, grandchildren, relatives and friends to whom sympathy is extended. The deceased who was in her seventies , was the last of her family and had been unwell for some time . A quite and unassuming person with a great love for her family, who was deeply religious and private person, There was a large and representative attendance at the removal on Saturday evening of last week and funeral which followed Requiem Mass in the Church of the Immaculate Conception , Kingscourt on Sunday last with burial in the adjoining cemetery.
