Site  Development on New College;

During the past week, members of the design team in charge of drawing up  plans for the new second level college to be built in Kingscourt have visited the site, it will be followed with, regular weekly visits.   A perimeter  fence has been built, outlining the  14  acre site. Plans for the new college will be completed later this year ,after which it will be let out for tender. Construction  work on the new college will commence  in 2015.  The college will open for pupils in September  2016,

A Warm Welcome;

A warm welcome home to Rev. Fr. Emmet Carolan who is spending St. Patrick’s day with his family in Kingscourt .  A regular visitor to Kingscourt, usually in September coinciding with the  All Ireland  Finals in Croke Park, from his priestly duties  in San Antonio, Texas.   It is  fifty two years since he was last in Kingscourt for a St. Patrick’s Day Parade, in Kingscourt.

Regretted Death ;

The death occurred on Friday 14 th. March  of Peggy  Keogan  (nee  Sorohan)  Nobber Co. Meath and formerly of Garrynoher, Ballyjamesduff, Co. Cavan.  Peacefully at her residence, surrounded by her family, beloved wife of  Seamus , loving mother of Eileen, Erin ,Phelim and Johnny ; sadly missed by her grandchildren, sons and daughters -in-law, brothers , sisters, brothers-in-law , sisters -in-law , nephews, nieces, friends and neighbours, to whom sympathy is extended.   Removal on Sunday  evening 16 th. March to  St. John the Baptist, Church Nobber. Requiem  funeral Mass  at 12 Noon on Monday , with burial in Nobber cemetery.

The more seasonal weather now prevailing , should encourage more gardeners to prepare their gardens and plant vegetables and early potatoes,  vegetable and seed  potatoes are available in local shops .
