Cancer Shop ;
Kingscourt Cancer Shop, which is located in Church Street, Kingscourt , is open on Thursday & Friday from 10.00.am to 6.00.pm and on Saturday from 10.00.am to 4.00.pm, well worth a visit.
Cabra Harvest Fair;
A Harvest Fair will take place at Cabra Central School on Saturday 2 nd November, from11.30.am to 3.30. pm. Schedules for Children and Adult, competitions now available in local shops and schools. Exhibition’s of all entries at the fair. Lots of fun, activities and usual stalls, all welcome.
Regretted Death ;
The death occurred of Mr. Patrick ( Packie) Reilly in Beaumount hospital, Dublin on Tuesday 8 th. of October, 17 Fairymount Ave., Kingscourt and formerly of Mullan, Maudabawn, Cootehill. Removal to St. Patrick’s Church, Maudabawn, on Thursday 10 th. Oct. with funeral on Friday 11 th. October following Requiem Mass with burial in St. Patrick’s cemetery, Shercock. The deceased who was a retired butler, had been living in Kingscourt for the past 13 years, and was noted for his immaculate dress each day on his walk to do his shopping in the local supermarket, he had a greeting for everyone he met. On St. Patrick’s day he would wear a green jacket appropriate for the day, he was well liked in the community and will be sadly missed.
Harvest Mass, Display; photo,
On Sunday last the 12 Noon Mass in the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Kingscourt , was an annual Harvest Mass to give thanks to God for the fruits of the earth. A warm welcome to the hardworking members of the farming community and their families. A very colorful display of farming products and wild life was arranged in the church.
Baptism
The Parish Community welcomes recently baptized, Mr. Own Thomas Cunningham, the next baptism preparation meeting will be held on 7 th. November at 8.00.pm in the parish centre. Baptisms take place on the second and fourth Saturday’s of the month at 4.00.pm in Kingscourt Church.

Mission Sunday, Display;
On Sunday next Mission Sunday , Kingscourt Apostolic Society will have their usual display for the missions in the church, Sincere thanks to all who support each year the Apostolic Society and all who work quietly and with such dedication for the promotion of the missions.

Parish Christmas Cards depicting scenes from the church of the Immaculate Conception are now available from the Parish repository after Masses.
Credit Union, Car Draw ;
Kingscourt Credit Union next car draw will be held on international Credit Union day 24 th. October at 12 Noon. This is the credit union’s 10 th. year of their draws, many congratulations.
Hospice Coffee Morning, Thanks ;

Free, First Aid Classes ;
Free First Aid classes have started on Monday 14 th. October in Kingscourt Fire Station, at 8.00.pm
Town’s New Roundabouts ;
The recently constructed low –level roundabouts on the town’s main street, with road markings are working well . They replace high level ones which had over the years come in for complaints. There is an additional roundabout now at the Rocks Road/Main street junction.
