Ballyhoe Lake, Fun Day;

Ballyhoe Family Fun Day

On Sunday last, Ballyhoe Lake development, committee, held a fundraising , ” Family Fun Day ”  at  Ballyhoe  Lake, Barleyhill .  The committee have been for the past few years developing the lake area and it’s surrounds. Ballyhoe lake is one of a number of coarse fishing lakes in the area, which attracts  anglers from many parts of Ireland and England, each year.  On Sunday last  it really was a family fun day, with bouncing castles for the younger generation, live music, hot food, stalls, vintage, classic and custom vehicle display, picnic areas beside the lake with seating.

Baptisms ;

The Parish Community welcomes recently baptised;  Cian Sean Cunningham, Cara Sylvia  dolan , and Aoibheann Sarah Tully.   All baptisms take place on the 2 nd. & 4 th. Saturday of each month at 4.00.pm in the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Kingscourt.

Marriage ;

Congratulations to Mr. Robert Slowey and Ms. Charlotte Greenway on their recent Marriage, couples intending marriage in the Diocese of Meath must complete an ACCORD pre marriage  workshop.

Lough Derg  ;

The annual one day Parish Pilgrimage to Lough Derg takes place on Tuesday 26 th. August, booking at  087 2807982.

Feast of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel ;

On this Wednesday  16 th. July, which is the feast day of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, all are invited to join at 7pm at the Mass Rock , Loughanleagh, mountain for prayers and the traditional pilgrim walk to the Church  of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, Muff for a community Mass at 8.00.pm.

Farm Safety ;

Parishes have been asked to highlight the importance of farm safety, following an increase in fatal farming accidents. The farming community is the backbone of a paruish and a fatal accident is a huge loss. Extra vigilance in farm safety is suggested during  the busy summer period on farms

Kingscourt Cancer Fund, Services ;

Kingscourt Cancer Fund , provides “Free  Taxi Service”  for patients to all Hospitals for treatment, also grant aid to Families. The Cancer Fund Shop in Church Street, is open Thursday & Friday 10 am to 6pm and on Saturday, 10 am to 4.pm. Bereaved ;

Sympathy is extended to Mr. Des Tracey, on the death of his brother Paddy Tracey, O’Neill Park, Clones, Co. Monaghan on Tuesday 8 th. July. Funeral on  Thursday 10 th. July following  Requiem Mass in  the Sacred Heart Church, Clones, with burial in Mount St. Oliver’s Cemetery, Clones.
