Cabra Castle Hotel, wins Award
Members of the Corscadden family are celebrating this week as one of their three castle hotels- Cabra Castle Hotel , Kingscourt was named the best four- star hotel in Ireland at the prestigious CIE Tours International Annual Awards of Excellence ceremony which took place at Dublin Castle.. The awards, which are in their 25 th. year , are based entirely on feedback from the 36,000 CIE Tours customers who visited Ireland during 2014.
Cabra Castle a member of Manor House Hotels of Ireland , saw a 20% increase in the number of CIE Tours guests staying at the luxurious property last year, the majority of whom were from Germany, the USA, Canada and Australia. More than € 3 million has been invested by its owners into the 18th. century castle over the past five years.
Owner Howard Corscadden said that the accolade was a huge endorsement of the exceptional service offered by the entire team, the majority of whom come from the local area. “We are honoured to have been voted the best four-star hotel in Ireland by our CIE Tours guests. With 70 hotels vying for the title it is one of the most hotly contested categories,” he said. ” We are extremely proud of our offering and work exceptionally hard to ensure that our guests experience an authentic Irish castle at its very best. We believe that our old- world charm combined with a long family tradition of warm and friendly service make Cabra Castle a perfect retreat from the pace of modern living and clearly our guests agree”
Cabra Castle is set on 100 acres of parkland and gardens in Co. Cavan. The 98-room hotel enjoys spectacular views of the surrounding countryside and, such is its historical and architectural interest, it is also open to members of the public for viewing (except December 24 th,25 th and 26 th).
