Ballyhoe Lake, Fun Day;
On Sunday last, Ballyhoe Lake development, committee, held a fundraising , ” Family Fun Day ” at Ballyhoe Lake, Barleyhill . The committee have been for the past few years developing the lake area and it’s surrounds. Ballyhoe lake is one of a number of coarse fishing lakes in the area, which attracts anglers from many parts of Ireland and England, each year. On Sunday last it really was a family fun day, with bouncing castles for the younger generation, live music, hot food, stalls, vintage, classic and custom vehicle display, picnic areas beside the lake with seating. The recently held “Moon Walk” on the Lough an Leagh mountain, raised € 3,300 for Kingscourt and Bailieboro Cancer Funds.
